The retopology function has been substantially improved since then, and a Connect and a Multi-Cut tool, among others, have been added. A direct comparison also shows how modelling performance has changed since 2012, including through OpenSubDiv. According to Autodesk, 100 new features and more than 200 user requests have been integrated into Maya since 2012.
