Graduation Film “Wrapped” Provides the Material for the FMX 2015 Trailer

The animago winner “Wrapped” provides the cinematic basis for the next FMX trailer and will thus adorn the 20th anniversary edition of the FMX professional conference.

The film, in which nature gains the upper hand and reclaims the civilised world, was created by Roman Kälin, Falko Paeper and Florian Wittmann. The FMX, Conference on Animation, Effects, Games and Transmedia will take place in Stuttgart from May 5 to 8, 2015. A first teaser for the trailer was released today on the FMX website.

"Wrapped" has already won various awards at animation film festivals and VFX events, including the SIGGRAPH Computer Animation Festival and the LA Shorts Fest. At this year’s animago AWARD, "Wrapped" received the animago trophy as the best young production.

Roman Kälin, Falko Paeper and Florian Wittmann successfully completed their studies specialising in Animation at the Institute of Animation, Visual Effects and Digital Postproduction at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg; "Wrapped" is their graduation project. 

The final FMX 2015 trailer will be released next year shortly before FMX.
