The method developed by SpectraCal ensures that colour calibration is at reference levels for all content viewed in Scratch applications. This is intended to make it possible to reduce the costs of a fully calibrated system considerably. It also has the advantage that the calibration process is automated for the user: with just one click of a button, all calibration processes required for the project are carried out.
Thanks to the Calman plug-in, the output can be used directly from Scratch without the need for another standalone tool. To create a 3D LUT, users need a version of the CalMAN 5 software as a light-measuring device. The plug-in for Assimilate Scratch and Scratch Lab is included in various Calman 5 products such as Calman Studio Express, Calman Studio Lite and Calman Studio. The software versions cost between 295 and 1,595 US dollars.
Here is an exact overview of the Calman products.
