Digital Production is calling for entries for the international animago AWARD 2015 competition. Artists from all over the world can now once again submit their work relating to 3D animation and stills, visual effects, and visualisation online at www.animago.com.
A total of nine categories have been announced for 2015, including “Best Young Production”, which is endowed by Digital Production with 3,000 euros in prize money.
Participation is free of charge. The closing date for entries is June 30, 2015. As part of animago AWARD & CONFERENCE (October 15/16), the festive awards ceremony will take place on the evening of October 15 as the highlight of the two-day conference.
These are the categories for the animago AWARD 2015:
• Best Postproduction
• Best Short Film
• Best Character
• Best Advertising Production
• Best Trailer/Opener
• Best Visualisation
• Best Young Production (endowed by DP with with 3,000 euros in prize money)
• Best Still (The winner will be determined by public voting from the nominated entries selected by the expert jury.)
• Jury’s Special Prize

animago receives entries from all over the world every year. In 2014, there were more than 1,000 submissions from 67 countries. These included works by artists from nations such as Kazakhstan, Kenya, Senegal, and Malaysia. You can see a compilation of selected works in the following trailers.

animago AWARD & CONFERENCE:
“animago AWARD & CONFERENCE” is an awards ceremony, expert conference, and freely accessible trade exhibition in one. Its main topics are 3D animation, visual effects, visualisation, and game design. Since 1997, the animago AWARD has honoured the best productions in terms of technical skill and creativity in these areas. The submissions are judged by an independent jury of experts from the fields of film, development, and postproduction. The animago CONFERENCE, with keynotes, presentations, and workshops, brings the creative community and digital professionals together. This year, animago takes place on October 15/16, 2015.
Since 2009, the event has been supported by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg as part of its “Innovative Audiovisual Content (IAI) – Funding” programme.
