The honorary award went to a loyal friend of Arri, director and cinematographer Gernot Roll. The film specialist has worked as cinematographer on "Die andere Heimat – Chronik einer Sehnsucht" and "Nirgendwo in Afrika", among others.

Baran Bo Odar was also honoured for best direction for the film "Who am I – Kein System ist sicher"; for this film, Arri handled the image postproduction and Scanline VFX and Sunday Digital handled the film’s VFX. More on this in DP issue 01/15. "Who am I" will be released on DVD on April 16.

Other award-winning projects for which Arri handled image postproduction are "Maya the Bee" (more on this in DP issue 07/14), "Frau Müller muss weg", "Stromberg", "Freistatt", and "Geschenk der Götter". Arri handled image and sound production for "Im Labyrinth des Schweigens" and "Agnieszka".
