Time-lapse recordings are to be automatically converted into videos, while the new burst mode can shoot 30 images in six seconds. The new firmware will add these functions to the Hero Black and Silver. Another important feature will be the automatic rotation of video recordings.
Advantage for Black Owners
Owners of the Black Edition camera will gain further benefits from the update: Recordings at 2.7K resolution and 60 frames per second are also to be possible, while in 720p mode as many as 240 frames per second are to be stored. The update will be available to users from February.
Live Transmission of GoPro Footage
In addition, GoPro wants to release a small attachment module that will also make live transmission of the recorded data possible. The additional module is said to have been developed together with Vislink and designed to be so small that it does not hinder the GoPro camera’s portability.
