From March 1, he will strengthen the training of HFF students in this important field. The newly created professorship is attached to the HFF Technology Department.
“When I teach, my main concern is to take away students’ ‘fear of contact’ with VFX, and then inspire them about the possibilities of exploring new paths with it – this applies both to the current projects of HFF students and to their future work,” says Michael Coldewey.
Michael Coldewey’s Career
Michael Coldewey already worked as a film projectionist while at school. His studies in graphic design with a focus on animated film at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences paved his way into animated film. With his company Trixter, founded in 1998, he very successfully realised national and international film projects such as "Hexe Lilli", "Captain America", "Avengers", "Hui Buh", "Iron Man" and "Cloud Atlas". Alongside his practical work, Michael Coldewey began early on to pass on his knowledge to interested people as a lecturer, speaker and member of working groups. Since Trixter’s new management is excellently positioned under Christian Sommer, Coldewey can contribute his commitment and network at HFF Munich.
