HitFilm from FXhome is an effects and compositing application that could be an affordable alternative to After Effects for some. The tool can be used on both Windows and Mac OSX.

In DP issue 05/13, we presented and tested the features of HitFilm 2 Ultimate; the PDF can be found in the attachment for download.

If you would like to test HitFilm Express 2, now is the ideal time. The licence is not time-limited and is also well suited to VFX and compositing beginners. You can get the tool here.

Many thanks once again to Softwarebox for sponsoring the prizes for our anniversary promotion!
