Because the programme on offer is worthwhile and wide-ranging: among other things, VFX supervisor Jörn Großhans from Mackevision Medien Design shows how the virtual sets and soldier crowds for “Game of Thrones” were created; director and animator Alexandre Espigares talks about his work on the Oscar-winning "Mr. Hublot", which also received an animago AWARD in 2013 and adorned the cover of the animago special issue.
Students from Georg-Simon-Ohm University in Nuremberg reveal the tricks used to create their project "Tea Time" (a making-of will also appear soon in one of our DP issues), and Trixter explains the design process for the suit from "Iron Man. Velvet Mediendesign provide insight into the advertising industry and the production of their high-end commercials. Another highlight will be Christian Zeh’s talk from Framestore on the Marvel hit film "Guardians of the Galaxy" (see also DP issue 07/14).
