Blackmagic has revised and improved the software’s tools, such as Generation Studio Management, network rendering, the optical flow tools and the tools for 3D stereoscopy. The general compositing and motion-graphics animation tools have also been optimised.

The software update also adds a render-node installer and speeds up the tool’s overall performance. Users who already use Fusion Studio can download update 7.7 here free of charge.

And in case you missed it at the end of last year: Blackmagic offers Fusion 7 for free.

Anyone who purchased Fusion as software can update to Fusion Studio free of charge and use the additional features of the Studio version, such as remote render nodes and the optical flow tools. Here once again is a direct comparison of the features of the free Fusion version and Fusion Studio.
