MPC can now collect mocap data in any space, whether outdoors or in the kitchen, and no data is intended to be lost. All data is captured via a Wi-Fi setup. "Because we are not limited to a capture region, we have maximum flexibility in the workflow and offer the animation team a free way of working," says Animation Supervisor Jason Snyman.
The system’s suit is quick to put on and animators see their result directly without everything having to be hand-animated. The complete system is intended to boot up within ten minutes, deliver cleaner data than before and have a battery life of 9.5 hours.
The associated software can be supplied as Studio and Studio Pro versions; both versions can be used with several people at the same time. In addition, the Pro version has unlimited configuration and scene possibilities. The hardware is also available in two different versions with different features.
The new pricing system is intended to make the system available to studios of all sizes. Unfortunately, for an exact price quote, you have to submit a request to Xsens. A 15-day trial version is also available.
