The tool has received a new user interface with the second version. In addition, the new "Auto Complete" feature ensures that missing parts of an image are automatically added. This is done by calculating already existing image structures – the function is known from Photoshop as "Content-Aware Fill". This makes much larger panoramas possible.
The preview function is also no longer resolution-limited; even gigapixel resolutions are no longer a problem. And anyone who wants to share their panorama over the internet can do so via Photosynth.
The "Little Planet" representation has been added to the projection types. ICE 2.0 can import JPEGs as well as RAW images, and panoramas can also be created from videos by specifying a certain time range in the video.
