One Step Closer to the Feature Goal

PostPanic from Amsterdam made the extremely impressive short film “Sundays” with the help of crowdfunding in order to get a foot in the feature-film market.

"Sundays" is around 15 minutes long. Virtually every scene consists of a CG shot or contains elaborate VFX work. It was filmed in Mexico City, and the project had already started in 2012. This week, PostPanic released the final film online.

Because several hundred VFX shots had to be created for the film, PostPanic was supported by Glassworks from Amsterdam as well as many external artists who volunteered to help with the project.

With the project, PostPanic wants to show what results can be possible with an efficient production pipeline without budgets in the millions. Which could perhaps change Hollywood producers’ final say over the look and final story of feature films and thus open the door to feature projects for smaller directing talents with less budget.

We are of course working on a detailed making-of of the project!
