The tool can be used with a drawing tablet such as Wacom’s Cintiq on a pen-based basis, allowing you to pursue your digital, creative flow of painting almost as if using paper and pen. Mischief is compatible with Windows and Mac. According to The Foundry, Mischief offers infinite canvases and a zoom range from 1 to 50 trillion as well as a clean interface. The tool is supposed to be so easy to use that there is no need to look at any instructions beforehand and you can start straight away: Simply choose a painting style and get going.
In update 2.1, so-called pins were added as a feature to the painting tool. They allow pins to be pinned to the canvas, enabling the user to create a sketch and visualisation index. This makes it possible to jump back and forth between the pins and also view the work like an idea map.
The good thing is: The tool is available free of charge, and the extended version with even more presets, a full colour palette, layers and the export function for .psd files is available for 25 US dollars.
