For the first time, FFF is providing financial support to VFX studios based in Bavaria that are responsible for digital image design for major international productions: Trixter for “Captain America Civil War” and Scanline VFX for the action film “The Lake”.
According to Bavarian Media Minister and FFF Supervisory Board Chairwoman Ilse Aigner, the funding serves to support the companies in international competition and strengthen Bavaria as a film location.
FFF Bayern is supporting Trixter and the virtual shoot with 450,000 euros, while Scanline VFX is receiving 275,000 euros in support.
Incidentally, both studio will also be at the animago AWARD & CONFERENCE: Trixter will give a presentation on procedurals in Houdini, and Scanline VFX is nominated for “Best Postproduction” for the film “Big Game.”
