“V-Ray for Modo” is optimised for rendering large productions and photorealistic design projects on both CPUs and GPUs.

“V-Ray for Modo” contains the same core technology as the V-Ray render engine, including its lighting, shading and rendering toolkit, and is optimally integrated into the Modo user interface.

Additional features include a V-Ray Denoiser, Virtual Reality Cameras for rendering VR-ready content, Ray Traced Rounded Corners for perfectly smoothed edges without extra modelling effort, Proxy Objects and Volume Rendering for optimised rendering of volumetric effects and importing OpenVDB files.

“V-Ray for Modo” is available for Mac OS X and Windows. A workstation licence costs 700 US dollars. Instead of using the USB dongle, the software can also be licensed online; this requires installation of the new VRL Service 4.0. You can find an overview of the online licensing model here.

You can order “V-Ray for Modo” here from Maconcept.
