The update was actually only planned as a smaller one, but according to the Corona developers it then developed into a larger one: Interactive LightMix allows the intensity and colour of lights as well as light-emitting materials to be adjusted before and after rendering – this is useful for subtle changes, but also for turning a daytime scenario into a nighttime scenario.
The Corona materials have been updated to meet industry standards and to work more compatibly with imported materials from third-party software. VFB features such as Bloom, Glare, Filmic Tone Mapping, Vignette and Saturation have also been added, enabling greater creative control over the final result.
The Corona Distance Map can now be used to create smart materials that know by themselves how far they are from the objects in the scenes. Corona users receive the upgrade to version 1.5 on FairSaaS free of charge.
