Kdenlive is a free editing program available under an open-source license that originally ran only on Linux and Mac. Recently, however, it has also become available for Windows. Here is a brief overview of what it can do:
What can Kdenlive do?
The heart of the software consists of a multitrack video editor for audio and video tracks, comparable to those in Adobe Premiere or DaVinci Resolve. Overall, however, the entire interface is somewhat simpler. Since the program is based on the FFmpeg framework, it comes with support for many formats and codecs. Alongside a selection of effects for image and sound and the option to work with proxies, it contains above all an extensive selection of audio and video scopes: these include histogram, RGB parade, vectorscope, and more.
