Entirely in keeping with the number 9, the 99 Fire Film Awards are celebrating their anniversary this year with the ninth event. And for this special occasion, the 99 Fire Film competition is for the first time also offering media professionals the chance to demonstrate their skills in the “360°” category. Here is the registration.
Competition conditions
On the day of the starting signal, January 26, the 99FFA team announces the topics of the film competition shortly before 10 am. Then it is: stay awake for 99 hours—develop an idea, shoot, edit, post-production, and upload the finished work, exactly 99 seconds long, to the homepage http://www.99FIRE-FILMS.de by January 30 at 1 pm.
The anniversary awards ceremony will take place at the Admiralspalast Berlin on February 16. An independent jury selects the winners in the “Best Film”, “Best Cinematography”, “Best Idea”, and “360°” categories. The community determines the audience-award winner in online voting. In the best winning case, their film will even be awarded 9,999 euros.
About the 99 Fire Films Award
The 99 Fire Films Award annually has more than 10,000 participants and over 2,500 submitted films; filmmakers from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland can take part. Professional media professionals are just as welcome as hobbyists; the only requirment is being of legal age.
360° in DP
