Marc Zimmermann produced the full-CG film while studying at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. He served as director and TD, as well as the VFX and compositing artist responsible. Pablo Almeida was the producer, and Amit Rojtblat was the additional TD. In 2015, the project was nominated for an animago AWARD in the “Best Young Production” category.

The project was created with Maxon’s Cinema 4D and Adobe After Effects. When the project was being made, Release 15 of C4D had just appeared with its new scultping features. Zimmermann used these to create the sculpted landscapes. Due to the numerous 2.5D elements and painted backgrounds, the project was very compositing-heavy. With the help of the World Machine tool, the artist created flow maps—these are textures that reproduce the course of rivers.
