With Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany, Norway and the USA, many countries are involved in the production of “Richard the Stork.” It was directed by Toby Genkel and Reza Memari. For Rise FX, Richard was the first animated feature-film project; alongside the German studio from Berlin, those involved included Studio Rakete (“The Congress,” “Niko 2”), Belgian studio Walking the Dog (“A Monster in Paris”) and Studio 352 Luxembourg (“Ernest & Celestine,” “Song of the Sea”).

Richard in the Next DP Issue

“Überflieger – Kleine Vögel, großes Geklapper” is, incidentally, the German, somewhat unwieldy-long title of the film. In the upcoming DP, Compositing Supervisor Rayk Schroeder from Rise FX will report on the “Richard the Stork” project.

The Rise team also regularly takes part in the animago AWARD & CONFERENCE: last year, the team showed, among other things, how the effects for “Doctor Strange” were created and recruited at the exhibition in the Gasteig Munich.
