Mr. Viewer is a free player for viewing, playing and editing image, audio and video files that goes beyond the standard functions of a media player. With multi-channel support for OpenEXR or PSD files, as well as ACES 1.0 and HDRI support, Mr. Viewer is a useful tool in the VFX workflow. For anyone who has not used the software yet: We created an overview of the tool for you in this article.
What’s New in Version 3.7.4
Since our last article about the player, several improvements have been added, which we summarize below:
- Metadata, including timecode, can be changed
- Playback of movie files with two video tracks in 3D stereo
- Automatic and manual updating (hotkey ‘u’) of files
- VR360 performance improvement, now supports zooming/framing (f) and Home (h) hotkeys
- Additional audio support for Dolby TrueHD ™
- Subtitles added for .srt, .sub, etc.
- Subtitle font selectable in the settings
- PNG reader improved
