There is now already a third beta version of DaVinci Resolve 15. With it, users can edit subclips directly from the timeline. Overall pipeline improvements are also apparent: new APIs for Python & LUA and DCP-compliant composition support. DCP packages with stereoscopic 3D or 96kHz audio can now also be decoded.
