HDR is now really on the way. Sony’s new reference monitor also wants to get involved.
Sony’s BVM-HX310
The BVM-HX310 realises the optimum performance of the TRIMASTER HX panel and achieves a full brightness of 1000 cd/m²* at a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. With rich, deep blacks and accurate reproduction of strong highlights, it is ideally suited to the production of High Dynamic Range (HDR) content. In addition to supporting a much wider colour gamut than conventional monitors, the BVM-HX310 also advertises the reproduction of high-resolution HDR images with clarity, depth and realism.
And this one certainly will not remain alone…
By the way: Sony has also introduced its new Trimaster HX technology. HX embodies the combination of HDR (‘H’) and Liquid Crystal (Xtal) Display (‘X’) technology. This is intended to make the corresponding monitors work even more precisely and consistently and render colours accurately.
