A few weeks ago, Maxon presented Cinema 4D Release 21 , which promises not only new features but also a new pricing system including Redshift. The update is now available here! We have summarized an overview of the release for you here. The most important new features include:
- Modeling features with Caps and Bevel and Volume Builder and Volume Mesher
- Mograph & animation features with Field Forces, as well as Mixamo Control Rig
- Materials & rendering with Intel Image Denoiser and a new Material Nodes UI
- New pricing system with a single Cinema 4D version and subscription options
Offer and availability
With the new pricing system, Maxon now offers only a single version of Cinema 4D. The new unified Cinema 4D R21 comes with the full range of functions and, for a perpetual license, is priced at the former Studio version—€3567. In the online shop, you can also subscribe to licenses annually or monthly—with and without Redshift.
The cheapest subscription model starts at €61 per month (annual subscription), roughly equivalent to maintenance for Cinema 4D. More about this here.
