After the cancellation of various events, the current situation is also putting many more people in the digital scene under pressure. Several software providers have now promised their users temporary free licences. Alongside offers from Microsoft (Teams) and Google (G Suite), options from Adobe, Avid, Autodesk, Serif, Foundry, ftrack and many more can also be found. You can find a list of the offers, including links, further down!

Adobe Creative Cloud for Students

Adobe is providing schools and universities that currently only have lab access for students with access to the Creative Cloud apps at no additional cost until 31 May 2020. A school’s IT administrator should find out more on this page and complete the form in order to give students and teachers access from home. (The information circulating online that Adobe is currently waiving costs for all Creative Cloud users for 60 days in response to coronavirus is not correct. This offer also exists outside the current situation if you want to cancel an ongoing subscription.)

CoronaUntil 1 July 2020, free 90-day access to the Adobe Connect web-conferencing tools is also possible. This offer allows you to take part in meetings, training sessions and virtual classrooms from home. More about it here.

Avid: Media Composer, Pro Tools and Sibelius

Avid is offering a free 90-day licence for students and employees for the following programs: Media Composer Ultimate, Pro Tools, Pro Tools Ultimate and Sibelius Ultimate. Eligible groups are those whose buildings are no longer accessible because of the closure. You can find the form and further information for licence requests here.
