Archive notice: This article covers SketchUp licensing announced in June 2020. The deadlines and prices below are historical and no longer represent a current offer.
Trimble announced that new perpetual licences for SketchUp Classic would stop being sold on 4 November 2020. Existing perpetual licences remained valid, while maintenance and support renewals were limited by the transition timetable.
Classic licence transition
Customers could still buy a Classic perpetual licence with maintenance before the cutoff. Under the announced policy, maintenance renewals could extend no later than 3 November 2021. Trimble directed customers to an end-of-Classic FAQ for the detailed support and renewal rules.
Historical subscription tiers
The 2020 announcement listed annual prices of US$119 for SketchUp Shop, US$299 for SketchUp Pro and US$1,199 for SketchUp Studio. Those figures are archived context, not current pricing.
Studios should verify today’s plan terms, offline access, extension support and seat-management rules before changing licence models.
