MakeHuman 1.2

The MakeHuman team released version 1.2, the first major update to the character-creation tool in more than four years.

New features

Additions included the new MakeSkin tool for advanced materials, updates to the existing MakeClothes and MakeTarget tools, and a new Mass Produce system for generating randomised characters. Blender users also received the MakeHuman Plugin for Blender, or MPFB, enabling characters to move directly from MakeHuman into Blender. The MakeHuman codebase was modernised to use newer versions of Python and Qt.

Further information

The project documented the release in its MakeHuman 1.2 release notes, with downloads available from the community website.
