Pilgway released 3DCoat 2021 with updates across digital sculpting, UV work, PBR texturing, painting, rendering and low-poly modelling.
The release revised the brush engine, added interface customisation and a minimal mode, and introduced retopology support. Other additions included a new Curves toolset, sculpt layers and Kitbash Room.
The bundled library of 2,500 PBR scans and smart materials became freely available. An Unlimited Free Learning Mode allowed students and learners to continue practising beyond the 30-day trial, alongside new education pricing.
Pilgway also introduced 3DCoatTextura as a lower-cost edition focused on painting and rendering.
