Autodesk announced Flex, a pay-as-you-go licensing option for its software portfolio.
Token-based daily access
Organisations purchased tokens that could be redeemed for 24 hours of access to an Autodesk product. The number of tokens required depended on the application. At launch, 3ds Max and Maya each required six tokens per day.
Autodesk Flex did not replace the company’s subscription plans. It was positioned as an additional option for products used only occasionally or for short periods.
