GoPro released the HERO10 Black action camera in 2021.
GP2 processor and stabilization
The camera introduced GoPro’s GP2 processor for higher video frame rates and improved image quality. HyperSmooth 4.0 video stabilization was designed to produce steadier footage during handheld and action shooting.
Resolution and frame rates
The HERO10 Black captured 23-megapixel still images and recorded 5.3K video at up to 60 frames per second. GoPro described 5.3K as offering 91 percent more resolution than 4K. The camera also recorded 4K at 120 fps and 2.7K at 240 fps for slow-motion work.
While charging, the camera could automatically upload footage to GoPro’s cloud service.
Historical pricing
At launch in Germany, the HERO10 Black cost €429.98 with an annual GoPro subscription or €529.99 without one. Existing GoPro subscribers were offered the €429.98 price.
