In brief: Plugin developer Ian Lloyd Dela Cruz, also known as Blender Guppy, released Random Flow, a randomised mesh generator for hard-surface prototyping and concept art in Blender.
How it worked: Random Flow generated shapes and details from a source mesh. The workflow was non-destructive, with the resulting mesh added to the scene as a separate object.
Archived availability: The add-on was offered through Blender Market for US$15.
More work from Blender Guppy was available through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Gumroad.
From the archive: Digital Production 01:2022 was planned around “Work Smart, Not Hard,” examining plug-ins and scripts that accelerate pipelines, automate repetitive work and enable otherwise impractical tasks.
