In brief: Thinkinetic released Pulldownit 5.0 for 3ds Max.

Fracture solver: Thinkinetic described the new solver as up to twice as fast as the previous version, while automatically generating more debris around the impact area.

Crack control: Users could break a curve at selected positions to direct fracture patterns. Cut faces could receive rough surface detail only on broken regions, reducing mesh weight for rendering and game-engine export.

Digital Production had previously covered Pulldownit 5.0 for Maya. Thinkinetic published a 3ds Max release announcement.
