In brief: Foundry released Modo 15.2, completing the 15-series of its modelling, animation and rendering software.

Modelling: The new Primitive Slice tool cut 2D shapes from meshes using built-in primitives or custom shapes and supported standard Boolean operations. It was available for both direct and procedural modelling. Edge Subdivide added vertices rapidly along geometry edges.

Rendering: Modo’s mPath path-tracing renderer gained support for render-time Booleans.

Presets and interface: Assembly Presets automatically packaged linked files such as meshes and textures into a ZIP archive. Foundry also updated the Schematic viewport and script editor.

Release details were documented in Foundry’s Modo what’s-new guide. Digital Production previously covered Modo 15.0, Modo 15.1 and the Modo 14 series.
