In brief: Maxon made the Forger sculpting app available free of charge. Forger was already one of the longest-established sculpting applications for iPad.
Features: Forger supported iOS devices, Apple Pencil, other styluses and multitouch input. Its file support included formats commonly used in VFX and 3D pipelines, among them Alembic, USD, OBJ and STL.
Free-edition limits: The free version was restricted to three active files and did not exchange files directly with Cinema 4D.
Availability: Direct Cinema 4D file exchange was included with a subscription priced at US$14.99 per year at publication. Forger was distributed through Apple’s App Store.
