FMX 2022 announces sessions on Foundation, The Tragedy of Macbeth, Igraine and Dragman, plus HaZ Dulull’s keynote.

Hybrid programme in Stuttgart

FMX 2022 announced its first speakers for the conference’s 26th edition. The in-person programme was scheduled for 3 to 5 May in Stuttgart, followed by an online day on 6 May. Ticket sales were planned for 25 January, with early-bird pricing through 7 March.

VFX, animation and graphic narrative

Foundation overall VFX supervisor Chris MacLean was set to discuss the Apple TV+ adaptation’s visual language. Alex Lemke and Michael Huber of east side effects planned a session on VFX for Joel Coen’s “The Tragedy of Macbeth”, including production during the pandemic.

Foundation was among the programme’s major VFX case studies.

Volker Engel, Gesa Engel and Johannes Mücke were scheduled to present the adaptation and character design of Cornelia Funke’s “Igraine the Brave”. Steven Appleby’s “Dragman” supplied the graphic-novel strand.

Programme chair Hasraf “HaZ” Dulull was due to open FMX 2022 with the keynote “Changing the Game”.
