Since October 2020, the Munich University of Television and Film has been offering a new specialisation in VFX as part of the Image Design course. In their first year, the students have already been able to realise an animated film in teams of three; from a reinterpretation of the werewolf myth (from page 102) to mysterious radio messages from a lost plane.

500,000 watch “Tour de France” on Sat.1
Since Thursday, private channel Sat.1 has taken over the broadcasting rights to the 94th "Tour de France". With an average of 500,000 viewers aged three and over, the Berliners started the second half of the cycling tour. According to media control, the market share of the eleventh stage was 4.7 percent.
ZDF Editor-in-Chief Brender on Tour withdrawal: “We want clean sport”
ZDF Editor-in-Chief Nikolaus Brender has announced the channel's withdrawal from the Tour de France following the latest doping allegations against Patrik Sinkewitz. "This morning I spoke with my colleague, Mr. Struve, the Programme Director of the First German Television. We consulted intensively about the case and decided that for the time being we will now withdraw from the Tour until the case is clarified", Brender said.
Sat.1 changes its programme schedule
After the programme schedule is changed at the end of August, the share of information programmes on Sat.1 will be 23 percent. At the last license renewal by LMK (Rhineland-Palatinate State Center for Media and Communication) in 2000, Sat.1 had an information share of 19 percent. From the channel's perspective, there is therefore no reason for the license as a full programme to be at risk.
Reach growth for DMAX in Baden-Württemberg
DMAX, the first factual-entertainment channel on German free TV, is expanding its broadcasting operations in Baden-Württemberg. Since July 10, 2007, an additional 28,000 households on the Kabel BW network have been able to receive the DMAX channel around the clock.
25 years of German cable television
Today, German cable television celebrates its 25th anniversary. What was launched on July 16, 1982, through the signing of a contract as the ambitious cable pilot project "Anstalt für Kabelkommunikation" in Ludwigshafen developed over the years into the most successful television infrastructure in Germany.
