Munich, 26 February 2002. Media 100 introduced the 844/X next-generation content-design system at a world premiere in New York.
The 844/X delivered high-precision real-time image processing while assembling and editing complex multilayer audiovisual material. It targeted broadcast designers, visual-effects artists and web designers.
Media 100 presented the fluid workflow, image-processing precision, output quality and use of standard PC and storage components as a major advance in integrated digital-media production.
Creative users could continue working without interrupting the workflow, whether a composition used two layers or twenty streams. Media 100 argued that the resulting throughput and productivity would improve return on investment. Information about the product family remains available from Media 100.
The system combined visual effects with video editing on a desktop platform.
