Bandits – Phoenix Rising was presented as an arcade-style third-person vehicle-combat game set after a third world war.

In a post-nuclear desert, rival clans fought for territory with heavily armed vehicles. Across 22 missions, players accompanied Fennec and Rewdalf in battles against the Wolfpack.

Nine multiplayer maps supported up to eight players over the internet or a local network. The game used the GIN 3D engine previously tested in Ballistics, with real-time deforming explosions, vehicle physics, pixel shaders and a dynamic lighting and shadow system.

Minimum requirements included a 700 MHz Pentium III and GeForce 3 card. At ECTS it was demonstrated on a three-monitor installation using Matrox Parhelia graphics. The title belongs to the game-development and 3D-animation archive.
