Adobe planned to release Graphics Server 2.0 in Europe in the fourth quarter of 2002. In North America the software was sold as Adobe AlterCast.
The server converted a single master image into several formats and sizes, reducing the time required to create and update assets for web and cross-media applications.
Version 2.0 added EPS and PDF support, conversion from SVG to PDF, and modification of CMYK images. It ran on Windows 2000, Windows NT 4.0 and Sun Solaris.
