Discreet and Realviz announced limited year-end bundles for 3ds max, Combustion 2, Cleaner 5 and ReTimer. Discreet’s products subsequently became part of Autodesk.
A package combining 3ds max 5 and Combustion 2 was listed at €5,400 excluding VAT instead of €10,350. Upgrade packages from earlier 3ds max versions and discounts for Softimage or Maya users were also offered for limited periods.
Combustion provided paint, animation, 2D and 3D compositing and visual-effects tools. Cleaner encoded QuickTime, Real, Windows Media, MP3 and MPEG-1/2 files, while ReTimer handled speed changes with motion blur or deblurring.
Further bundles paired Combustion 2 with Cleaner 5, or combined ReTimer SD, Combustion 2 and Cleaner. All prices and deadlines reflected the December 2002 promotion.
