Postgraduate Course 3D Designer/in

Macromedia GmbH, Academy for New Media, is offering training as a 3D Desiger/in from June 2003 as a postgraduate course.

The continuing-education course is aimed at university graduates or working professionals from the fields of graphics, design, film/television, computer science, architecture, etc. with prior knowledge of computer animation. Classes take place in Munich over twelve months, generally full-time on three days per week; in addition, two to three block phases with five days of instruction each are inserted. This is followed by an internship of at least five months in a freely selectable company from the field of computer animation. After successfully passing the final examination, the “3D Designer” certificate is awarded.

The main subjects taught are: fundamentals of digital media production, design, 3D technology, project management, modelling, camera and light, animation and compositing.

The selection interviews take place in May 2003, and classes begin on June 02, 2003. Tuition fees consist of 12 monthly installments of 1,030 euros.
