NAB 2003: Digital Rapids Expands Encoder Product Family with StreamZ 2500XSR

The Real-Time Encoder Server for Streaming-Media Formats Is Based on Two 3.06 GHz Xeon CPUs and Is Designed as a Rackmount System with an Ingetrated RAID Level (0,1,5) and up to One Terabyte of Hard-Disk Capacity.

The concentrated power is housed in a standard 2RU chassis. The StreamZ 2500XSR has all standard audio and video inputs (SDI, Component, Composite, Y/C, AES, Balanced, unbalanced, and DV) as well as two independent video inputs, which allows the simultaneous processing of two different jobs.

The following output formats can be generated in parallel in real time:

  • lossless compression

  • uncompressed

  • MPEG 1,2 and 4

  • Windows Media 9 (including Embedded Timecode and 2-pass)

  • Sorenson (Pro, Broadcaster, ACE)

  • Real Helix (1- and 2-pass)

  • Quicktime (file and Quicktime reference)

  • DivX (1- and 2-pass)
