Automatically and precisely to the beat of the music playing, this function makes it possible to edit films. All that has to be done is to select the raw material, click on the favorite song and choose the desired editing mode or style, and Pinnacle Studio 9 independently creates a professional film. It is then complete with transitions and special effects and perfectly matched to the beat and length of the selected piece of music. Titles and credits can of course also be added and thus integrated into the film.
Automatic colour correction likewise saves poor shots; shaky footage can be stabilized and electronic or analog image noise as well as disruptive wind and background noises are easy to eliminate. With the help of integrable video and audio plug-ins, further transitions, sound effects, filters and DVD menus can be realized. The full version already includes many of these plug-ins. All work steps can be viewed at any time not only in the real-time preview window, but now also at the push of a button in full-screen view.
Pinnacle Studio 9 also supplies home-cinema functions such as surround sound or widescreen capability. Material recorded in widescreen format can be edited and output.
The integrated CD and DVD authoring functions enable the creation and direct burning of DVDs, VCDs and SVCDs in one application. Once the user has edited and arranged the footage as desired and added titles, transitions and effects, professional DVD menus with background music, video scenarios and Motion Buttons can be created. The finished work can be saved and presented in a wide variety of ways. Thanks to intelligent rendering, subsequent changes to the finished project no longer have to be completely recalculated.
At the sales launch of the Sudio famly, another member, Studio AV/DV from Pinnacle Systems, comes onto the market. The internal solution is suitable for all video camera owners who want to import and output analog and digital material. Studio AV/DV Deluxe (successor to Studio Deluxe) allows even more comfortable working. In addition to the extra HollywoodFX Plus effects, external devices such as video cameras, video recorders, etc. do not have to be connected directly to the computer, but can be connected to the PC using the practical external breakout box.
Pinnacle Studio 9 is available as a pure software solution and in complete packages from specialist retailers starting February 1, 2004, at a price of 99 euros including VAT. Owners of products with an older Studio version can upgrade to the new Studio 9 for 69 euros. The upgrade is available from the beginning of February from specialist retailers and on the Pinnacle website (www.pinnaclesys.com/studio9).
The proven Pinnacle Studio solutions Studio DV, MovieBox DV and MovieBox USB will also all be equipped with the new software as early as the beginning of February. MovieBox USB will continue to be available at a price of 249 euros, MovieBox DV for 299 euros and Studio DV for 129 euros. The new Studio AV/DV solution will cost 199 euros, and Studio AV/DV Deluxe will be available for 299 euros including VAT.
