Cambridge Animation Systems is shipping Animo 6.0 for Windows and Mac OS X. The release includes more than 50 new functions requested by users.
Development since Animo 5.0 has focused on extending features and usability across system configuration, scanning, processing, painting, compositing and final output.
Animo 6.0 supports layered Adobe Photoshop PSD and TIFF files. Each layer in a background or overlay can be filtered or transformed separately. Layered output gives artists more flexibility when finishing material in applications such as Apple Final Cut Pro or Adobe After Effects.
The update is available immediately and is free to registered Animo customers. Further feature descriptions and screenshots are available from DBS Digital Broadcast Systems, the distributor for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
