SpeedTree 3 adds improved wind control, expanded MaxScript support and better international support. The plug-in can also generate more realistic tree-trunk structures.
The release includes SpeedTree CAD Lite 3.4 and a library of high-quality trees. Additional libraries are sold separately, with three packages currently available.
SpeedTree 3 costs 395 US dollars. An upgrade from version 2 costs 100 US dollars, while the full version bundled with a tree library is priced at 695 US dollars. Further package prices and a 15-day demo version are available from the manufacturer.
