Autodesk has completed the acquisition of Hungarian software developer Colorfront. The deal, worth US$15 million, is intended, according to the official interpretation, to enable the group to secure long-term growth in the field of digital film.

Colorfront has already worked with Autodesk on the development of Discreet Lustre, which was introduced in 2003 and has since been used in productions such as “Sin City” and “Polar Express”.
