As part of the first Media Night at the Rhine University of Applied Sciences (RFH)media professionals from print, radio and design, RFH lecturers and students present their work from communication and its application in lectures and film contributions. They take positions on current questions and problems in the media.
The Media Night – an event of the Media Design and Media Business departments- takes place on July 15, 2005, from 17:00 to 23:00 at the Media Centre (Weyerstraße 41, 50674 Cologne). Parallel “Open Classroom” events, discussions and presentations allow both a taste of the different areas of the Media Design course and individual selection according to areas of interest. Degree programme director Professor Dr Martin Gertler is relying on exchange with visitors: “At the Media Night, guests from agencies, publishers and broadcasters are to experience content from our innovative degree programmes together with students.” The Media Night particularly wants to appeal to school leavers from grammar schools, technical secondary schools and vocational colleges who are looking for a degree subject in design and media. Working professionals in the media industry also have the possibility to study Media Design part-time at RFH. Also invited are all interested creative minds who want to learn about a professional and practice-oriented university of applied sciences education in the field of media. Participation is free.
