The provider 2d3 has upgraded its motion tracker Boujou Three with numerous improvements. The solution costs 10,000 US dollars and is available now. The upgrade from version 2 costs 2,000 US dollars, and each additional network version costs 1,000 US dollars. The little brother Boujou Bullet, with fewer features, is available for 2,500 US dollars. The upgrade from Bullet to the large version costs 7,550 US dollars.
The new features and improvements include:
- the new feature tracker is up to ten times faster and more precise
- the new camera tracker makes it possible to insert keyframes for the focal length. This means that moving cameras with animated focal length can also be tracked.
- automatic radial undistortion
- Survey Points allow the tracking of scenes with minimal distortion
- also automatically tracks objects that temporarily disappear or are obscured
- improved image handling with 16 bits per channel
- the built-in user guidance makes the work easier
- a new, interactive and keyframeable timeline makes the work easier
- camera path smoothing removes small irregularities in the camera movement
- definable polygon masks make work on complex shots easier
- keyboard shortcuts can be customised by the user and likewise make the work easier
