The German Film School in Elstal is placing its open day under the motto “High-performance studies you can touch.” The focus of the event is on guided tours through all of the private university’s facilities: the animation-table cabinet, the model-making and recording studios, the teaching and work rooms with powerful workstations for 3D animation, compositing and visual effects, the laboratories and service facilities. Faculty, students and university members will be present to answer questions and hold discussions. Film screenings show a cross-section of productions created at the GERMAN FILM SCHOOL that have so far been able to win almost 50 prizes and awards.
Prospective students can obtain information on site about the diploma program for Digital Artists, the master’s program in Character Design & Development, as well as the courses and training programs in 2D and 3D computer graphics and animation and TV design. Further bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in “Virtual World Design” and “Virtual Environments” are in preparation. In addition, contacts are available to present financing routes for the private training as well as housing options during the program.
The open day takes place on April 8, 2006 from 2 to 6 p.m. Various directions for visitors are available on the Film School website.
